长距离海底电缆故障定位技术研究与探讨

    Study and Discussion of Fault Location on Long Submarine Cable

    • 摘要: 海底电缆故障定位是海底电缆抢修工作的第一环节,有效保证了后续抢修工作正常顺利开展。从线路跳闸开始,全方位论述了海底电缆故障识别确认、海底电缆故障预定位和海底电缆故障水下精确定位等全套定位流程。针对海底电缆故障识别,提出了远端变电站保护及行波测距、终端站光CT、差动保护及结合各种在线监测系统识别确认海底电缆故障的方法。在故障预定位方面,针对长距离海底电缆低阻、高阻故障类型,提出了低压脉冲、二次及多次脉冲、冲击电流法、差分脉冲法、衰减法等预定位方式。提出并探讨了一种基于水下机器人的电磁感应原理的海底电缆水下故障精确查找的方式。相关定位方法在测试电缆及海南联网工程500 kV超高压长距离海底电缆备用相进行了模拟验证,效果良好。

       

      Abstract: The fault location of submarine cable is the first step of its repair,which effectively guarantees that the follow-up repair work is carried out normally and smoothly. Starting from the trip,a full range of fault location processes of submarine cable,such as fault identification and confirmation,fault pre-location,and underwater accurate positioning are discussed. Methods of protection and traveling wave ranging in remote substation,Fiber Optical Current Transducer and differential protection in terminal station,and kinds of online monitoring systems to identify and confirm submarine cable faults are proposed. In terms of pre-location for fault with low or high resistance of long-distance submarine cables, low-voltage pulse, secondary and multiple pulses, inrush current method,differential pulse method,attenuation method and other predetermined positioning methods are proposed. It is also present and discussed a method to accurately find underwater faults of submarine cables based on the electromagnetic induction principle and Remote Operated Vehicle. The related positioning method was simulated and verified in the test cable and the standby phase of the 500 kV ultra-high voltage long-distance submarine cable of the Hainan Interconnection Project,and the effect is good.
