Abstract: High-voltage cable joints are the weak point of the power cable line. When the joint fails and causes a combustion explosion, it will not only cause the power outage of this line, but also cause serious damage to the surrounding cable lines, power facilities and personnel. In order to avoid damage caused by joint failure, this article innovative developed a new type of high-voltage waterproof and flame-retardant explosion-proof connector that takes into account both waterproof and flame-retardant and explosion-proof properties on the basis of conventional cable joints, which can curb the harm to surroundings during explosions and improve the safety of the cable joints.
