EVA对聚乙烯基低烟无卤阻燃电缆护套材料性能的影响

    Effect of Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate Copolymer on Properties of Low Smoke and Halogen Free Flame-Retardant Cable Sheathing Materials Based on Polyethylene

    • 摘要: 将乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯共聚物(EVA)和聚乙烯(PE)熔融共混制备PE基低烟无卤阻燃复合材料,并研究EVA的质量分数对材料结构与性能的影响。结果表明:EVA与PE相容性较好,可促进材料内部形成无机填料网络,限制分子链的运动,改善材料热分解温度及类固行为,还可以提高炭层的致密和均匀度,抑制材料燃烧时滴落。当EVA的质量分数为15%时,复合材料的断裂伸长率为612%,极限氧指数(LOI)为26.4%,具有优异的综合性能。

       

      Abstract: Ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) and polyethylene (PE) were melting blended for preparing PE-based low-smoke halogen-free flame-retardant composites, furthermore, the effects of EVA content on the structure and properties of the composites were studied. The results showed that inorganic filler networks were promoted in material due to the good compatibility between EVA and PE, which can limit the movement of molecular chains and enhanced the thermal decomposition temperature and solid-like behavior of the material. It can also improve the density and uniformity of the carbon layer and inhibit the dripping of the material during combustion. The elongation at break and limiting oxygen index (LOI) of the composite were 612% and 26.4% with the mass fraction of EVA reaching 15%, which had excellent comprehensive performance.
