Abstract: The types and applications of Profibus fieldbus were introduced. According to the main technical requirements of Profibus-PA fieldbus cable, the structural design, material selection and process control of various specifications of Profibus-PA fieldbus cable were expounded in detail. Through the calculation example of solid core polyethylene insulated Profibus-PA fieldbus cable, the key parameter design and test method of communication cable under low frequency working state were explained.Besides, 1×2×0.75 mm² Profibus-PA fieldbus cable was tested, and the results showed that the experimental results are in accord with the design requirements.
