Abstract: The matching technology of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) insulation material for shearer cables was studied. The selection of raw rubber, softening and plasticizing system, reinforcing and filling system, anti-aging system and curing system were discussed, and an optimized formula was summarized. Through the test, the EPDM insulation material for the shearer cables has excellent physical, electrical insulation properties and good production process.
