Abstract: In this paper, the current-carrying capacity, induced potential, short-circuit current, reliability and bending performance of two kinds of cable products, corrugated aluminum sheath and smooth aluminum sheath, are studied based on the operation requirements of the domestic high-voltage cable system.The results show that the current-carrying capacity of the smooth aluminum sheathed high-voltage cable has obvious advantages,the reliability is improved,and the bending performance is equivalent to that of the corrugated aluminum sheathed cable.
