    Research on Microstructure and Properties of Cu-0.6wt.% Ag Alloy by Continuous Extrusion Forming

    • Continuous extrusion forming provides a new method for alloy modification as a new technology in the metal processing field. In this study,three kinds of processes which consisted of continuous extrusion,rolling and drawing were explored to prepare Ф1 mm Cu-Ag alloy wires independently and compared with Ф1 mm Cu-Ag alloy wires in common rolling and drawing processes. It was found that the strength of wires increased with the increase of the continuous extrusion process. The strength of wires with the extrusion process from Ф8 mm to Ф6 mm was increased by more than 70 MPa,and the conductivity of wires with extrusion process from Ф8 mm to Ф8 mm was also increased with the increase of strength.
