    Flow Field Simulation Design and Application of Drag Reduced Conductor

    • A new type of drag reduced conductor is designed,by using three-dimensional simulation calculation and flow field analysis of the drag reduced conductor under the reynolds number of 1. 4×105 and using the open source CFD software Open FOAM5. 0 and LES method. The drag reduction mechanism of the conductor is explored,and the reliability of simulation design is verified by wind tunnel test. The designed conductors have been successfully applied in the first drag reduced conductor project in China in 2017.
