    Analysis and Prevention Measures of Ablation Fault of High Voltage Cable Buffer Layer

    • The buffer layer ablation fault severely affects the safe and reliable operation of high voltage cable. In order to further reveal the mechanism of buffer layer ablation, the experiment of buffer layer ablation was conducted. The influence of incoming water on buffer layer ablation was investigated. In addition, an experimental model combined by the aluminum plates and several commonly used strip materials was prepared to verify other causes of buffer layer ablation. Combined with the existing domestic research results the structural design and production process control of high voltage cable buffer layer and metal sleeve were proposed. The research results can provide reference for the optimal design and quality improvementof high-voltage cable.
