Abstract
With wide application of battery energy storage system in energy field, strict requirements for cable performance are put forward. In the paper, types of 125 ℃ temperature-resistant cables were sorted out in detail, covering common types such as polyvinyl chloride insulated cables, silicone insulated cables and halogen-free rubber cables. Technical specifications directly related were in-depth analyzed, including electrical properties and mechanical properties. Simultaneously, systematic structural design and pilot manufacturing work were carried out on cables made of different materials, with full consideration given to the selection and structural optimization of conductors, insulating materials and sheathing materials. By comparing temperature rise, temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and tear resistance of four different materials and structural samples, and considering special needs of energy storage industry for cables, a targeted design scheme was proposed, which could effectively balance various performance indicators of the cables, provide technical support for improving the stability and reliability of battery energy storage system, and promote technical progress and application expansion of the cables for energy storage system.
