Design and Test of Environmental Protection 110 kV Polypropylene Insulated Power Cable System

In order to meet requirements of environmental protection and green development in cable industry and promote application process of polypropylene (PP) insulation, 110 kV PP insulated power cable was completed through modification of PP, improvement of production equipment, and adjustment of processing technology, 110 kV PP insulated power cables and related accessories were tested and verified. Results showed that structural dimensions, mechanical properties, and electrical properties met the standard requirements. Moreover, the power cable system composed of 110 kV PP insulated cable and existing cross-linked polyethylene(XLPE) insulated power cable accessories passed the type test, and further demonstrated the feasibility of 110 kV PP insulated cables.
