Design and Production Process of Profiled Copper Conductors

Abstract
With the rapid development of new quality productive forces, manufacturing industry is facing development requirements of high quality, high efficiency and high technical level. In order to reduce the cost of conductor, design and research of conventional circular monofilament copper conductor structure and profile shaped monofilament copper conductor structure were carried out, and corresponding improvement measures for their processes were proposed. Production data of different specifications and types of copper conductors were compared and analyzed. Results showed that outer diameter of profiled copper conductor was reduced by about 5.8%, cross-sectional area was reduced by about 2% compared with compact circular copper conductor under the same conductor DC resistance. Profiled copper conductor had a higher compression coefficient than compact circular copper conductor, featuring a tighter structure and reduced interstices. Results could provide a reference for the optimization of conductor structure.
