Standard Comparion and Testing Status of HVDC Extruded Insulation Cable Systems

Development history of the standards for DC extruded insulation cable systems in China and abroad was summarized, then comparative analysis of applicable scope and main contents of CIGRE technical brochure, IEC standard and Chinese standard was given. Qualification test methods of DC cable systems in these standards which included thermal stability test and pre-qualification extension test were discussed. Finally, current test status of DC cable systems with a voltage of ±400 kV and above in China was introduced.
