Difference Analysis of Fire-Resistant Cable Test Standards

Test methods, technical requirements and application scope of different standards were compared and discussed by combining and analyzing fire-resistant cable test standards. Based on the current standards at home and abroad, classification and main test methods of fire-resistant cables were introduced, technical requirements of each standard for fire-resistant cables were compared from test methods of flame combustion, mechanical impact and water spray, etc., and applicable cable types of each standard were determined. Purpose of this paper was to analyze differences between test standards of different fire-resistant cables, provide a scientific basis for performance evaluation of fire-resistant cables, improve safety and reliability of fire-resistant cables in practical applications, and provide reference for technicians and researchers in related fields.
