    Flow Measurement Control System for Loose Tube Fiber Paste Based on PLC and Database Operations

    • Total amount of fiber paste serves as one of the analytical bases for material costs.For cost-saving and precise manufacturing,flow measurement control system for fiber paste was developed to monitor and control realtime flow output of fiber paste,to ensure product quality.By using clamp type flow sensors,with software communication as supporting,the online monitoring system for fiber paste monitored flow time and flow rate to achieve real-time collection and calculation of instantaneous and cumulative flow of fiber paste in the production process,improving the utilization rate of fiber paste.Results showed that based on online flow measurement control,the system could provide real-time alarms and record the location of defects when there was no fiber paste in normal production.By collecting and calculating basic data,closed-loop control of fiber paste flow could be achieved,fiber paste consumption could be reduced and raw material consumption could be also saved.By connecting production management system with control system,data was uploaded to database,which could realize data application analysis.
