Abstract
With the rapid advancement of energy transition and the construction of new power systems, user-side power cables, as critical links between energy production and consumption, require urgent technological upgrades to ensure grid security and operational efficiency. Focuses on the technical demands of user-side power cables in electromagnetic safety, overload protection, short-circuit protection, and fire prevention, core development directions such as intelligent sensing, material innovation, collaborative control, and green low-carbon solutions were systematically analyzed. Research indicated that by integrating intelligent sensing, digital twin technologies, and novel materials, user-side cables were evolving from traditional transmission facilities into intelligent systems with active perception-adaptive regulation capabilities, significantly enhancing anti-interference performance, fault response speed, and environmental adaptability. Additionally, the application of green degradable materials and multi-level collaborative protection strategies provided technical support for building safe, reliable, low-carbon, and resilient user-side grids, which could provide theoretical guidance for technological innovation and engineering practices in the energy and power sectors.
