    Design of a Central Twisted All Dry Ribbon Cable

    • A new structure of 864-core ribbon fiber optic cable was introduced, which combined tensile characteristics of stranded fiber optic cable with the advantages of central tube ribbon fiber optic cable core centering. An all-dry water blocking method was adopted for the ribbon fiber bundle tube, and it was designed as a square tight buffer structure. Mechanical and environmental characteristics of conventional ribbon cables were maintained, making construction more convenient. At the same time, significant advantages in material cost savings and green environmental protection were demonstrated.
