Abstract
With the development of wireless communication technologies, multiple types of leaky coaxial cables (referred to as leaky cables) were developed to meet the demands of diverse application scenarios. Taking 50-32 leaky cable (impedance of 50 Ω/inner diameter of 32 mm) as an example, a three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation model was established, and reasons for the difference between simulated values and measured values of attenuation constant and coupling loss of leaky cable were analyzed, and corresponding optimization measures were proposed. Results showed that after optimization, difference between simulated values and measured values of attenuation constant and coupling loss could be controlled within 0.5 dB·(100 m)−1 and 2 dB. Through simulation technology, electromagnetic field distribution, radiation characteristics, and transmission characteristics of leaky coaxial cables could be comprehensively optimized, providing a design basis for the development of leaky coaxial cables slots, shortening the research and development cycle, and improving its performance reliability in complex environments, so as to satisfy the requirements for high-density, low-latency wireless coverage in the era of high-speed communication.
