Analysis of Transfer Impedance and Shielding Efficiency for Braided Shielded Cables

    • To investigate the influence of braiding parameters on cable shielding performance and validate the accuracy of theoretical models, calculation theories for transfer impedance of braided shielded cables were systematically reviewed, with emphasis on the influence of key parameters such as braiding angle, the number of braiding bobbins, and diameter of braiding wires. Electromagnetic field simulation technology was employed to construct the cable model, and transfer impedance was simulated. Finally, shielding effectiveness of physical cables was tested using absorbing clamp method. Results showed that analytical calculations agreed well with simulation results at lower frequencies, while deviations occurred at higher frequencies due to model simplifications. CST simulation demonstrated good agreement with measured data at higher frequencies, validating the simulation effectiveness. The study could provide a theoretical basis and practical reference for the optimized design of braided shielded cables.
