    Mold Design of New and Efficient Bias-Free Extruder

    • In order to solve the problems of time-consuming and low efficiency in the process of installation, debugging and mold replacement of traditional large extruder, a new mold design for extrusion sheath was proposed, which was optimized by introducing the rapid mold replacement without adjusting the core deviation structure, and repeatedly verifying samples of different products and different thicknesses on the extruder. Results showed that compared with traditional mold, the new mold replacement efficiency was improved about 68%, waste emissions was reduced about 18%, and mold cost was saved more than 50%, which could effectively reduce the production cost and improve the production efficiency, and provide efficient and low-cost mold solutions for the cable industry.
